How to single crochet increase (inc)

An increase stitch is two single crochet stitches in the same hole. It is used in amigurumi to add extra stitches and change the shape of a piece.
How to crochet an increase stitch (step-by-step with photos)
1. Insert the hook into the next stitch.
2. Do a single crochet. Yarn over and bring the yarn back through the hole.
4. There will be one loop left on the hook. This is your first single crochet (sc).
5.To complete the second single crochet take your hook back through the same hole and repeat steps 1-2.
The way to check an increase stitch, is to look for two v's coming out of the same hole.
